Pomeroy School District #110
Matriculation Policy
In order for students to matriculate from grade to grade in the high school the following requirements must be met at each grade level:
A student must have earned 6 credits and accumulated 10 hours of community service before being classified as a sophomore.
A student must have earned 12 credits and accumulated 10 additional hours of community service (20 total) before being classified as a junior.
A student must have earned 18 credits and accumulated 20 additional hours of community service (40 total) before being classified as a senior.
A student must meet all state and Pomeroy School District graduation requirements and have accumulated 20 additional hours of community service (60 total) before being allowed to graduate.
Any student failing to meet requirements of grade level that is appropriate for the individual studentŐs age will be prohibited from participating in class activities until the course credits and community service hours are fulfilled.
Any student not meeting requirements will additionally be placed on a specific student-learning plan to get students back on credit and community service schedule.
Students enrolling at Pomeroy High School will be prorated for community service hours based upon grade level; however, students will be placed into grade based upon credit scale.
This is a new policy put
in place to try and help promote our students during and after high
school. If you have any questions
contact Mr. LaMunyan.
